An ‘Industry Hit’ during its original release, Indra is an action drama film starring ‘Mega Star’ Chiranjeevi in the titular role. Directed by B. Gopal, it features Sonali Bendre and Aarthi Agarwal as the female leads. Mani Sharma composed the movie’s music.
Coming to the point, this classic actioner, in a 4K remastered format, is gearing up for a grand release tomorrow, on the eve of Annayya’s birthday. Originally produced by Ashwini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Movies, this re-release is being handled by Asian Suresh.
The bookings have already started, and the numbers suggest a huge opening. With worldwide advance bookings of INR 1.75 crore, Indra 4K already made a record among re-releases of senior heroes. In Hyderabad alone, the film sold a massive INR 70L worth of tickets, while the rest of the bookings (including Andhra, ROI, and overseas) are valued at more than INR 1 crore.
