Director Shankar suffered a big debacle in the form of Indian 2 last year. The film became a major disaster in Kollywood shocking all. This also raised doubts over the fate of Indian 3 which was to begin filming. However, Indian 3 was put on hold and Shankar went ahead with Game Changer to give a comeback. But Game Changer’s performance after the release repeated the same fate of Indian 2 keeping Indian 3 at risk again.
Some portions of Indian 3 are already shot and the team is planning to go for the shoot from March or April this year. The team has to make sure that the film becomes a huge blockbuster to recover the losses of Indian 2. This is also a risk for the Producer to invest money for the rest of portion shoot.
It will be very interesting to see how the Producers would go forward on this issue. On the other hand, OTT platforms may not offer much for Indian 3 considering the failure of Indian 2. So convincing them for a good price will also be hard.
