The trailer of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 was released yesterday and its safe to say, it has not met the expectations of the fans. Shankar and Kamal Haasan’s collaboration after 28 long years attracted great hype and hope from the fans to see the maverick director’s big comeback. However, the trailer has not stood up to the expectations.
Shankar’s film trailers normally receive positive feedback due to striking visuals and colourful frames. However, Indian2 trailer is receiving mixed responses which is a big disappointment for the team as the trailer failed to create the hype. This mixed response will harm the film which is less than a month away from its release.
Kamal Haasan is reprising his role as a freedom fighter turned vigilante. In the clip, Kamal’s character Senapathy, who once fought against the system, is back to save society. The ‘Ulaganayagan’ can be seen in multiple get ups in the trailer.
However, all these prosthetic-laden getups failed to evoke any excitement. Shankar and the team need to do some solid promotions and the fans are hoping the rest of the promotional content will be more striking than the trailer.
