Indian 2 is just one week away from release. The film stars Legendary Actor Kamal Haasan directed by Maverick Director Shankar. Kamal Haasan recently tasted huge success with Vikram and revived hopes for Indian 2 which was on floors then. But the hype for Indian 2 now remains normal and there is no great buzz. The bookings from the Overseas market are also low. The promotional activity of the team is not upto the mark and the same is witnessed even with the just released Indian 2 IMAX poster. It gives rise to a question like, “What’s wrong with Shankar?”
The team is indirectly killing the buzz of the film with these low-key posters. As said above, the IMAX poster looks too odd and doesn’t give a thumpy feel. Kamal Haasan looks cartoonish and funny in the poster as well. This is surely a very serious issue. Shankar, the director of the film must take care of all these things but he remains unbothered. It also looks like the team and Shankar may have decided that the film would become a blockbuster just after its release.
The film requires great talk to become successful. But this promotional content and the non-seriousness of the team feels like it may not receive the desired result. Let’s hope for the best and see how the things go on July 12th.
