Ind vs. Pak Cricket match effect on Jawan’s Monday collections

Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan Fetches 250 CR From Non-Theatrical Rights

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest action entertainer, Jawan was released on September 7th and, thanks to good talk the film has performed superbly at the box office. It has broken all existing records in the history of Indian cinema and grossed a whopping Rs 500 crores in just four days. However, the today’s Ind vs. Pak Cricket match had shown effect on Jawan’s Monday collections.

Jawan was expected to take a big jump on evening and night shows. Normally, every film takes the jump on evening and night shows, but that jump has been missed for Jawan on Monday. The trade expected around 35Cr range of collections on Monday or at least a 30Cr+ day, but now the national estimates have come under 28Cr. The match hits the film big on evening and night shows.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan featured King Khan in a double role – an intelligence officer and a vigilante. The film was shot across Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander composed for the film, bankrolled by Shahrukh Khan’s home production Red Chillies Entertainments.
