It’s official. Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam House No. 47 will release in theatres worldwide on October 30. Venkatesh announced the date himself on Dussehra with a new poster.
“Coming together with Srinu after two decades is very special, and we’re bringing you a wholesome entertainer with fun, action and a lot more,” Venkatesh wrote. “See you all in theatres with your Aadarsha Kutumbam and friends on October 30th!”
The Date Is Final
The confusion around the release date has finally ended. The makers had earlier told distributors October 30, but there was strong talk that the film could move to November 13.
Producer Naga Vamsi had promised at the Jailer 2 success meet that the date would not change again once announced, and that Venkatesh would reveal it himself. That’s exactly what has happened, and October 30 is now locked.
Venkatesh and Trivikram, Together Again
This reunion is what makes Aadarsha Kutumbam special. Trivikram wrote the dialogues for Venkatesh’s family entertainers Nuvvu Naaku Nachav and Malliswari over two decades ago, and both films are still loved by Telugu audiences.
Now, for the first time, Trivikram is directing Venkatesh. The new poster shows Venkatesh in a relaxed, smiling look with glasses and a salt-and-pepper beard, which points to the light-hearted family mood fans expect.
The film is produced by S. Radha Krishna (Chinababu) under Haarika & Hassine Creations, with music by Thaman S and cinematography by Ravi K Chandran.
Small Films in a Tight Spot
The bigger story now is what happens to the small films that had already picked October 30.
- Vishwak Sen’s Cult
- Itlu Arjuna
- Summer Holidays
- Chandrayaan
A Venkatesh and Trivikram film is a huge draw for family audiences, and it will take a big share of screens across the Telugu states. That leaves very little room for smaller releases, which depend on enough shows to build word of mouth.
Who Will Move?
Itlu Arjuna has already shifted once, from October 9 to October 30. Another change would hurt the team, but staying put against Aadarsha Kutumbam is risky too.
Cult has the biggest star among the four in Vishwak Sen, who is also directing the film. It may try to hold its ground with its different genre and target audience. The other films may not want to take that risk.
Expect announcements from these teams in the next few days.
Trailer Next
With the date locked, the focus now shifts to the trailer, which is expected this week. That will set the tone for what could be one of the biggest family entertainers of the season.
