The police on Wednesday produced iBomma admin Immadi Ravi before the Nampally Court. After conducting a detailed hearing, the court ordered a 14-day judicial remand for him. A total of five cases have been registered against Ravi.
He has already completed five days of custody in one case. In addition, the Cyber Crime Police have filed PT warrants in three other cases. The court is expected to announce its decision on the custody petition shortly.
Meanwhile, CCS officials revealed that they had extracted key information from Ravi during the five-day interrogation. They reportedly found thousands of movies stored on the hard disks seized from him. According to the investigation, Ravi purchased pirated films through Telegram and uploaded them to the iBomma and Boppa TV websites.
Police further stated that iBomma admin Immadi Ravi promoted betting apps by sending APK links to users who opened these piracy sites to watch movies. Through these promotions, he allegedly earned crores of rupees. They also discovered transactions amounting to ₹20 crore in his bank accounts.
