‘I don’t think I am the highest-paid director’: Prashanth Neel

Prashanth Neel is one of the biggest names in Tollywood as well as Sandalwood. His KGF: Chapter One has catapulted him to massive stardom. Presently, he is one of the most sought-after directors in Tollywood with 2 big releases after KGF: Chapter Two lined up.

Prashanth is presently busy with Prabhas starrer Salaar. This action thriller co- starring Shruti Haasan will be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada and will be dubbed in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. Apart from this Prashanth also confirmed a movie wit Jr NTR recently.

The announcement carried the lines “The only soil that is worth remembering is the one soaked in blood!!”, this means the movie is going to be an out and out action entertainer. The duo have been in talks for the movie for quite some time.

With two big-budget projects along with Yash starrer KGF: Chapter Two under his belt in the coming days, a number of reports on his remuneration have cropped up.

Recently, it was rumoured that Prashanth Neel is charging in the range of Rs 20 crores per movie and is the highest-paid director in the Kannada film industry.

The director commenting on this issue recently said, “It’s my personal matter. I don’t believe that I am highest paid director right now.  I don’t think it should be something that is discussed in the first place.”

Meanwhile, there is also a strong rumour that the blockbuster director might team up with a Mega hero after the film with Jr NTR. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.
