Normally heroes hesitate to admit that they are in a bad phase or their movies have failed and try to give some reasons. But surprisingly, Hrithik Roshan openly admits that War 2 bombed at the Box office, in a recent public event.
“War 2 released with high expectations in August, being a YRF spy series film and starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR. Therefore, it was widely anticipated to earn 1000 Cr at the box office.”
However, the film’s content failed to impress audiences and ended up miserably at box office with 367 Cr gross worldwide and a huge loss for all buyers. The Telugu states buyers lose 2/3rd of invested amounts.
The film did not receive any good response upon its OTT release as well. In Netflix the movie is streaming from long days. Even the people who have watched the film on OTT felt it was a very poor film.
In a way, the sequel of War also ended the Male spy universe of Yash Raj Films. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan fans are appreciating their favorite hero as he admitted that War 2 bombed at the box office.
