Hi Nanna, the latest film of Natural Star starring Mrunal Thakur and Kiara Khanna in the major roles, has been released today. Director Shouryuv, and Nani were so confident on the film’s content and result. Let’s see whether their confidence has worked or not with Hi Nanna Movie Review.
Story: Viraj (Nani) works as a fashion photographer and lives in Mumbai with his daughter, Mahi (Baby Kiara), who is six years old. Kiara has a desire to learn more about her mother, but Viraj never discloses that information to his daughter. Viraj is forced to reveal the story that he had been hiding for years when Kiara bumps into Yashna (Mrunal Thakur) one day. Who is Mahi’s mother, and what actually happened between her and Viraj? What brews between Yashna and Viraj after his revelation? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.
Performances: Nani does justice to the natural star tag as Viraj. Though his character has regular shades, he brings out the required emotions and impact. Mrunal Thakur is gorgeous and fits perfectly in her character. Her unique screen presence and expressions make her performance more effective. Kiara, the child actress, is adorable and excels at emoting in the crucial scenes. Priyadarshi got a crucial role as Hero’s friend, and he was effective. Shruthi Haasan appears just for a song and does not have any important role to play. Nazar, Jayaram, and Angad Bedi were fine.
Positives:
- Performances
- Music
- Storyline
- Emotional Scenes (Esp in the second half)
Negatives:
- Routine Flashback
- Slow pace
- Predictable tone in few key scenes
Hi Nanna Movie Review and Verdict:
Hello Nanna, is a decent emotional drama that features many heart – touching moments. The sluggish pace, few predictable parts, and routine flashback act as minus points. Nevertheless, it has the engaging effect if one ignores the flaws. Nani, Mrunal Thakur, and Baby Kiara Khanna excel with their performances and help the director’s goal. Hi Nanna’s strength lies in its storyline, emotions, and music.
