On March 8th, three movies—Bhimaa, Gaami, and Premalu—hit the screens simultaneously. Gaami kicked off with an excellent opening, solidifying its position over the weekend and securing itself as a safe venture, given its minimal theatrical investments.
On the other hand, Premalu started off slowly but gradually gained momentum, witnessing a remarkable surge in numbers by the second weekend. Today, the Telugu version of the film is on track to surpass the 10 Cr mark, including overseas collections.
Bhimaa, while experiencing an average opening and weekend, managed to hold steady during weekdays without experiencing a significant drop, unlike Gaami. Expectations were high for Bhimaa to witness a significant jump in collections during the second weekend, especially with no notable new releases.
However, to everyone’s surprise, Premalu emerged as the dominant force across all centers, leaving Gaami and Bhimaa trailing behind without any notable improvement. As a result, Bhimaa’s performance at the box office can only be described as a failure.
Gopichand finds himself delivering yet another disappointment, with Bhimaa joining the ranks of his previous single-digit closing share films. The box office outcomes stand as follows:-
Premalu Telugu: Blockbuster
Gaami: Hit
Bhimaa: Flop
