The strong run of Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon continues. Yesterday also it maintained good collections, and for 11 days, the film collected around 115 Cr gross worldwide, and the trade expects it to have a good run for a few more weeks in Tamil and Telugu as well. Dragon is all set to conquer the 150 Cr landmark at the box office.
In Tamil, the next big release is Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran, which will hit theaters this month-end. So till then, Dragon will have a good number of screens and good collections too. Even in Telugu, there are also notable releases at the end of March only. Until then, Return of the Dragon can get decent numbers. By this weekend, the film is expected to go near 135 Cr, and from there, collecting another 15 Cr is an easy task for the film.
Back-To-Back Blockbusters for Pradeep Ranganathan
The film also joined the 60 Cr gross club in Tamil Nadu, and the interesting thing is that Pradeep Ranganathan has 2 back-to-back 60 Cr grossers in Tamil Nadu, which is a huge achievement. Dragon is expected to do more than 90 Cr in a full run, and we need to wait and see whether the movie can go near 100 Cr or not.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon is all set to conquer the 150 Cr landmark, and it will be the first one to do so from Kollywood this year. While a biggie like Vidaamuyarchi failed to achieve this milestone, Pradeep Ranganathan and Ashwath Marimuthu’s film is set to achieve the same feat, which is a surprising thing. The Telugu version has also contributed well to the film, as the Telugu version’s worldwide gross will be around 20 Cr for 11 days.
