After a series of failures, ace filmmaker Puri Jagannadh achieved success with Ram Pothineni’s Ismart Shankar (2019). However, his next release, Liger (2022), has emerged as a colossal disaster at the box office.
Aiming to make a comeback, he joined hands with Ram once again to craft an action drama called Double Ismart (2024), a sequel to blockbuster Ismart Shankar. This too received a mixed-to-negative response upon release and eventually bombed at the ticket window.
Following its debacle, it has had a digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video to poor reviews, with viewers criticizing the film’s foul language.
