Actor Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannadh reunited for the sequel to their smash hit, iSmart Shankar. The film will be released on August 15 in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil languages. Sanjay Dutt makes his Telugu debut in Double iSmart, while Kavya Thapar plays a key role.

Double iSmart is a crucial film for both Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh, and they appear to have gone all out for this mainstream entertainer, much like the first. Double iSmart has been censored with an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to intense violence and dialogue.

The summary states that “In Double iSmart, Big Bull (Sanjay Dutt), a notorious assassin, wants to achieve immortality and decides to transfer his memories to iSmart Shankar (Ram Pothineni), thus setting the stage for the intense confrontation between Shankar and Big Bull.”.

The sequel will be longer than the first, with an official theatrical runtime of 2 hours and 42 minutes (162 minutes). iSmart Shankar lasted 2 hours and 21 minutes, making it a well-packed entertainer. Typically, a longer runtime is not ideal for an A-rated title, but according to reports, despite its length, Double iSmart’s plot is fast-paced and continuously engaging, keeping spectators enthralled from start to finish.
