Rajinikanth’s Dharman keeps getting bigger. Nayanthara has now joined the film’s cast, adding another big name to what is already one of the most star-studded Tamil films in the making.
The film is targeting an April release, on the occasion of Tamil New Year.
A Huge Cast
Dharman brings together a powerful line-up of actors.
- Rajinikanth
- Ram Pothineni
- Nayanthara
- Simran
- Raashii Khanna
- Sreeleela
- Rukmini Vasanth
Rajinikanth and Ram Together
One of the biggest highlights of Dharman is Ram Pothineni sharing the screen with Rajinikanth. It’s a rare Tamil and Telugu star combination that has created a lot of excitement on both sides.
Ram is reported to play a key role opposite Rajinikanth, in a story said to revolve around a father-in-law and son-in-law face-off.
Nayanthara Returns to Rajinikanth
Nayanthara and Rajinikanth have worked together before in films like Chandramukhi and Darbar. Their reunion in Dharman will be a big draw for fans of both stars.
The Team Behind Dharman
Dharman is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, known for the hit romantic comedy Oh My Kadavule. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International, which makes it a special Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan collaboration behind the camera.
Anirudh Ravichander, fresh off the massive success of Jailer 2, composes the music, while the action is by Anbariv.
Tamil New Year Release
Dharman is targeting an April release for Tamil New Year. That puts it in the same window as SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi, which releases on April 7, setting up one of the biggest box office battles of 2027.
Coming right after Jailer 2 became Kollywood’s industry hit, Dharman has every reason to carry huge expectations.
