Kamal Haasan Seals a Record 3-Film OTT Deal With JioHotstar

Kamal Haasan’s production house is said to have struck one of the biggest OTT deals in Tamil cinema. Raaj Kamal Films International has reportedly signed a record three-film deal with JioHotstar for the digital rights of Dharman, Seyon and Sandiyar.

The Three Films in the Deal

  • Dharman
  • Seyon
  • Sandiyar

A Record Deal

Three-film OTT deals are rare in Indian cinema, especially for big-ticket projects like these. Bundling them together gives JioHotstar a strong line-up of Tamil films, while Raaj Kamal Films locks in a big digital deal well before release.

The exact value of the deal hasn’t been revealed, but it’s being described as a record for Tamil cinema.

Dharman: Rajinikanth’s Next

Dharman is the biggest film in the deal. It stars Rajinikanth, with Ram Pothineni, Nayanthara, Simran, Raashii Khanna, Sreeleela and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles.

Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, with music by Anirudh Ravichander, the film is targeting an April release for Tamil New Year. Coming right after Jailer 2 became Kollywood’s industry hit, Dharman carries massive expectations, which makes its OTT rights especially valuable.

Seyon: Sivakarthikeyan Reunites With Kamal

Seyon brings Sivakarthikeyan back together with Kamal Haasan’s banner after their blockbuster Amaran. The action drama is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, and Kannada filmmaker-actor Raj B Shetty is also part of the cast.

After Amaran’s huge success, Seyon is one of the most awaited Sivakarthikeyan films.

Sandiyar Completes the Trio

Sandiyar is the third film in the deal. It’s another upcoming production from Raaj Kamal Films International.

Kamal Haasan’s Big Production Push

The deal shows how strong Raaj Kamal Films International has become as a production house. After backing hits like Vikram and Amaran, the banner now has films with Rajinikanth and Sivakarthikeyan lined up, and its digital deals are reflecting that strength.
