Fans have been waiting for NTR–Koratala Siva’s blockbuster Devara sequel, and the film has still not started yet. Now, there is a strong buzz among the industry circles that the most awaited Devara 2 may not happen.
Reportedly, Hero NTR is not interested in taking up this project at the moment, and Devara 2 might be shelved. We have to see how much truth there is to this, but the rumors are very strong.
Even though Devara is a commercial blockbuster, the lead for part 2 did not go well for audiences; most of the people felt it was forced. With this, some fans also had some concerns about Devara 2.
But NTR and the team believed in the sequel, and Koratala Siva was also said to have completed the entire script work for the film and planned to start shooting at the end of this year. But things are said to have changed completely in recent times.
The main reason is that Tarak’s experience with the poorly received “War 2” has raised concerns about the “Devara” sequel, as it felt like a mere imitation with no compelling plot or ending.
At the same time, due to unknown reasons, NTR’s Dragon shooting had some breaks, resulting in postponement of the film, and the actor will be busy with Dragon for next year.
Considering these factors, NTR is reportedly planning to shelve Devara 2. Besides Dragon, he has commitments with Trivikram and Nelson and seems more inclined towards those projects. We await the team’s response to these rumors, but if they are accurate, it will be disappointing news for Director Koratala Siva, who has already invested over a year in the film.
