Daaku Maharaaj is receiving a superb response after its OTT arrival on Netflix. Before the film’s release itself, the makers officially said that they were trying to do a Vikram style of film with balakrishna. But if we observe, Daaku Maharaaj is Not Vikram — It’s More Like Petta.
Daaku Maharaaj: Decent in Theaters – Excellent in OTT
Directed by Bobby, the film was released in theaters this Sankranthi, and it opened well and emerged as a decent box office success but not big as the trade and the team expected initially.
On last Friday, the film was released on Netflix and is receiving excellent response.
Daaku Maharaaj gets compared with films like Petta and Vikram
The interesting thing is, most of the OTT viewers say that the film is not like Vikram, and it is a much similar range to Petta Style. Rajini and Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta comprises massive elevations in the 1st half with many large fan moments, but in the second half’s flashback it runs on usual story and ends up with a regular climax.
The same can be said with Daaku Maharaaj as well. The 1st half has a high feel with continuous fan moments, but the 2nd half goes with an ordinary revenge story with only a few highs. That is why people are saying Daaku Maharaaj is Not Vikram — It’s More Like Petta.
Vikram is a different one, as the screenplay was solid in both halves. Moreover, the second half of the film is bigger than the 1st half, with a terrific climax. Deku Maharaaj didn’t go there, but it is much similar to Petta as per audiences opinion.
Meanwhile, Daaku Maharaaj is getting so much of appreciations from other languages audiences too on Netflix, and it is trending top in many countries.
