Superstar Rajinikanth’s Cooile is collecting good numbers at the box office, though it did not receive the expected positive response from audiences and critics. The film got an “A” certificate, which made it lose some audiences. The Coolie team could have fought with the censor team on this issue.
Everyone knows that Rajini enjoys a very large fan base among kids. When Coolie got censored with ‘A,’ a section of people were excited that it featured strong violence without any cuts, while another section requested the team to release another version.
Coolie Lost Some Revenue Because Of A Certificate
A section of audiences suggested the team go with U/A, which will allow the families in theaters, but the team did not look at their request.
After watching the film, everyone was shocked that the Coolie team got an ‘A’ certification, as there is not much bloody/brutal violence or cuss words. The reason is said to be that the bad portrayal of Port has resulted in an ‘A’ certification, and the censor team has asked for some cuts, which the team has refused.
Also, there are some scenes in which people are burnt alive. So even those scenes had an effect on the censorification of this action drama.
With this, a section of netizens say that the Coolie team could have fought with the censor by doing some minor cuts and with statutory warnings to get U/A. which could have helped the film in getting some more revenue
The team also set different expectations with the “A” certificate; everyone thought it was a high dose of full action, violence, and bad guys. But the reason for the “A” certificate was different.
