Chiranjeevi and Rajamouli irritating producers and distributors

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Rajamouli are undoubtedly the biggest names in Tollywood. Their action and words command great respect and attention from the industry colleagues. However, of late, the duo through their various actions are causing great trouble for their own industry colleagues.

For instance, Megastar Chiranjeevi had first intended to release Acharya, for Dusherra. Later, much to the inconvenience of others, reports emerged that Chiru is now looking at the Sankranti season. This happened despite biggies like Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Bheemla Nayak, and Radhe Shyam already announcing Sankranti as the release date.

Even distributors were the Sankranti dates and dates of 7th January started doing rounds. Rumours also surfaced that Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak has even agreed to push its release for Acharya. Again now reports are emerging that Acharya is planning for Diwali (November 1st week release). Director Koratala Siva has been a mere spectator of this entire release date show and has been just watching from the sidelines.

Ditto is the case with SS Rajamouli’s RRR. The movie was supposed to hit the screens on 13th October. However, now talks are emerging that the director is now looking for Sankranti season. This has not gone down well with a number of producers and exhibitors. There were also reports of Rajamouli holding talks with makers of other films for Sankranti release. The discussions are still on and it needs to be seen whether RRR comes for Sankranti or will it be pushed for later.

These last-minute changes from both Chiranjeevi and Rajamouli haven’t gone well with the industry insiders.
