Meka Roshan’s Champion receives mixed reviews, but the film has a decent opening at the box office on day 1 with a gross close to ₹4.5 crore worldwide. Nizam emerges as the best-performing territory for the film, as it contributes nearly 40% of the total revenue.
The promotional material worked very well for the film, and the Christmas holiday also worked as an advantage, providing a considerable opening on day 1 for Champion. The good thing is, the second day of morning shows also started on a decent note. The film should continue the same trend until the weekend.
Directed by Pradeep Advaitham, Champion stars Anaswara Rajan in the female lead role, along with a huge star cast. Backed by Vyjayanthi Films and Swapna Cinema, the film’s music has been scored by Mickey J. Meyer.
