Tere Ishk Mein, the latest Bollywood movie starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon and directed by Anand L. Rai, had a blockbuster weekend at the box office with super-strong collections through the first weekend.
The film collected 16 Cr net on the opening day, followed by over 17 Cr net on Day 2 and over 18 Cr net on Day 3, taking the first weekend’s total to over 50 Cr net in India. The 1st weekend all-India gross is over 60 Cr.
Meanwhile, overseas numbers are a bit disappointing compared to India. Bollywood has a big overseas market, and love and emotion genre films normally have to work big there, but somehow the TIM movie did not do big numbers and collected around $600K gross, taking the total worldwide gross for the weekend above 65 Cr.
Overall, Tere Ishk Mein has already had a blockbuster weekend, and the film is expected to continue with strong numbers in India on weekdays as well. There are expectations that the film can do 150 Cr gross in India alone, with a strong run at the box office.
