Ankith Koyya (Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam Fame) and Nilakhi’s romantic drama Beauty has hit the theaters today, i.e., September 19, 2025. The film’s teaser and trailer impressed audiences, and let us check whether the film is able to impress overall in our review.

Story:

Alekhya (Nilakhi Patro) is a college student who is deeply loved by her father, Narayana (Naresh), a cab driver. She demands her father buy a scooty, and he does so despite financial challenges.

Meanwhile, Alekhya falls in love with a stranger named Arjun (Ankith Koyya), whom she meets unexpectedly. As their relationship grows, her mother (Vasuki Anand) discovers the affair. Fearing her parents’ reaction, Alekhya runs away with Arjun to Hyderabad. Her father sets out to find her, and the rest of the story is about what happens to the couple and how Narayana finds them.

Performances:

Ankith Koyya delivers a decent performance, though his role lacks depth. Nilakhi Patro is expressive and energetic, but her character often feels annoying. Veteran actor Naresh shines as the father who loves her daughter, and his acting makes audiences root for him. Vasuki Anand makes a noticeable impact, while Prasad Behara is underutilized in a minor role. Nithin Prasanna is adequate.

Analysis:

Directed by J.S.S. Vardhan, Beauty starts off with an interesting concept and a touch of suspense. The initial fun moments work well, but the romantic track feels awkward and fails to engage. The dialogues are often uncomfortable and weaken the chemistry between the lead pair.

The tension around the interval could have been better, but it hints at improvement in the second half. The twist before the climax is mildly engaging, and the emotional scenes that follow have some effect.

Despite a few positives, the film struggles with unrealistic storytelling and poor execution. Instead of empathizing with the lead characters, viewers may find their actions immature. By the time the twist arrives, it feels too late to make an impact.

Positives:

  • Naresh Performance
  • Last half an hour

Negatives:

  • Weak/Silly Romance Portions
  • Unnecessary/Repetitive Scenes
  • Lacks The Required Tense Moments

Beauty Movie Review and Verdict:

Overall, Beauty is a well-intentioned romantic thriller that works only in parts. Naresh’s heartfelt performance and a few gripping moments stand out, but the rest of the film fails to leave a lasting impression.
