Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimry and Amy Virk starrer Bad Newz was released last week to positive reviews and good openings. The comedy entertainer opened with 8.25 Cr nett and saw a decent jump on Saturday and Sunday and collected Rs 30 crore nett over the first weekend.
After a positive first weekend, Bad Newz saw a massive drops leading to makers resorting to special offers. The makers announced a buy one get one offer from Monday evening shows and it has given the movie collections a solid boost.
The film showed good occupancies from Monday evening and maintained the same trend on Tuesday. On Monday, the film collected 3.5 Cr net, and on Tuesday, it did 3.6 Cr net. The producers are likely to continue the offer even on the weekend.
Bad Newz also features Neha Dhupia, Sheeba Chaddha and Faisal Rashid. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film has been jointly produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari.
