The much awaited film RRR is finally set to stream on OTT platforms like Zee5, Netflix and even on BookMyShow. Though it is a happy news for film lovers there is one condition that comes along. Unlike most OTT releases, where a user with a subscription can watch the movie for free, RRR will be available in T-VOD or pay-per-view format. RRR will be available on OTT from 20th May.
Audience have to pay an additional amount to watch RRR Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada in Zee5 despite having annual subscription. Hindi version of RRR will be available for rent on the BookMyShow streaming platform. One can rent RRR movie for Rs. 349 or buy the movie for Rs. 899. Zee5 came up with an offer for those who do not have annual subscription.
The annual subscription of Zee5 usually costs Rs. 599. But now the annual subscription of Zee5 along with RRR rental for Rs. 699. If you rent the movie, you will have 30 days of grace period to watch the film. However, once you start watching the movie, you will only have two days to complete the movie. The audience have to wait for more days if they want to watch for free. So let’s see how people receive this move from the OTT platforms.
