Another Hurdle for Akhanda 2: High Court Cancels Ticket Hike GO

The High Court has cancelled the government order (GO) that permitted increased ticket prices for the special shows of Akhanda 2 after receiving a lawsuit. It looks like Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s Akhanda 2: Thaandavam has to clear one more obstacle for its theatrical release, as the Telangana High Court has cancelled the GO that allowed special shows and increased ticket prices for the film.

The High Court has cancelled the government order (GO) that permitted increased ticket prices for the special shows of Akhanda 2 after receiving a lawsuit. If we remember, a similar situation occurred with OG, where the GO was struck down at the last minute. However, the producers of OG chose to file an appeal.

Despite the legal setback, OG premieres went ahead as planned, and the ticket price hikes continued for the allotted days before the court finally intervened and halted them.

Now, the producers of the Akhanda sequel should also go down the same route, as the bookings have already opened and tickets have been sold at hiked prices, and cancelling them at this time is practically not possible.
