Anni Manchi Sakunamule Movie Review – Boring affair with only a few engaging moments

Story: Arya (Malavika Nair) and Rishi (Santhosh Shobhan) are mistakenly exchanged at birth, by doctors, between two warring families who have been in conflict over their ancestors’ shared properties. As Arya and Rishi grow, the conflict among families gets worse. The rest of the story is about how this dispute is sorted out, and how the families came to know about the truth about their kids.

Analysis: The movie starts with conflicts arising between two families. The initial setup, though looks predictable, raises the anticipation of what happens next. However, Nandini Reddy could not sustain the interest for most of the part. Be it the love track between the lead pair or the rivalry between their parents was not at all established properly. Though slow, the first half gives at least an ok feel, but after the intermission the narrative goes haphazard and does not have any impact on the proceedings on screen. Only the climax had some effect. The Production Values were rich, but the music did not add anything to the movie.

Plus Points:

  • Rich Production Values
  • Casting
  • Few good scenes
  • Climax

Minus Points:

  • Outdated Storyline
  • Snail Pace Narration
  • Music
  • Zero Emotional Depth

Verdict: Anni Manchi Sakunamule has a simple story and the narrative is a mixture of some interesting and annoying moments. Although the attempt is authentic, dull narration tarnishes it. It could be strictly an okay watch for the Slice of a Lice kind Genre movie lovers.
