Ameesha Patel, a name that was heard in every household in the early 2000s. From blockbuster films in Bollywood like Kaho Na Pyar Hai and Gadar to making it big even in Telugu with Mahesh Babu’s Naani and Pawan Kalyan’s Badri.
But the actress has taken a big halt from movies since then. She has not featured in films for a long time now and is set to make a comeback into films with Gadar 2, the sequel to the iconic Gadar.
Amidst the promotions of Gadar 2, Ameesha Patel was seen giving interviews. In one such interview, the actress made some rather shocking and nasty comments.
During a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha Patel said that today’s children cannot watch OTT because of the depiction of homosexuality, gay people, and lesbianism. In addition to that, she added that Gadar 2 is clean entertainment and focuses on values and emotions that are missing in OTT content.
This is another classic case of an actor trying to appeal to a certain section of the audience. But, this seems to have backfired, and rightly so. As Ameesha is being put in her place for her comments. When homosexuality is legal, what is wrong with presenting it on OTT? Who gave Ameesha the right to decide what goes on OTT?
