Valimai which relied on action stunts and some family elements generated repeat audience. The film achieved mixed talk. However the star power of Ajith Kumar is pulling off this film single handedly. This made the film to even gross 150 cr mark worldwide. Suriya’s ET which is about to release on March 10 is also not bothering Valimai it seems. The exhibitors are still believing in Valimai. Some of them are not even interested to replace Valimai with ET.

The hit status for Tamil Nadu is around 120 crores approximate including the expenses and the film has collected close to 105 crs gross for 13 days.
