2024 has been a tough year for Kamal Hassan. While Kalki 2898 AD, a sci-fi drama in which he appeared in a cameo role, has emerged as a blockbuster, Indian 2, which featured him in the lead role, bombed at the box office.
Aiming to make a comeback, the ‘Ulaganayagan’ has joined hands with the legendary filmmaker Mani Rathnam for an action drama called ‘Thug Life’. With music composed by A. R. Rahman, it is scheduled for a grand release in Sankranthi 2025.
On the other hand, ‘Thala’ Ajith is gearing up for the release of Vidaamuyarchi, an action thriller directed by Magizh Thirumeni, during the same phase. Clearly, two of the biggest Tamil stars will lock horns very soon. For those unaware, Good Bad Ugly, another Ajith-starrer directed by Adhik Ravichandran, has been postponed to a release during the summer 2025. Stay tuned for more updates.
