Released in 2024, Aavesham went on to become the biggest blockbuster of Fahadh Faasil’s career and one of the highest-grossing films in Malayalam cinema. Its success was not limited to Kerala alone. Following its OTT release, the film reached a pan-India audience, further boosting its popularity. Since then, fans have been eagerly demanding a sequel.
Putting an end to all speculation, Fahadh Faasil has now officially confirmed Aavesham 2, and the sequel is expected to hit screens sometime in 2027 or 2028.
With its strong fan base and growing pan-India appeal, Aavesham 2 has the potential to create a massive buzz across the country. Director Jithu Madhavan is currently occupied with a film starring Suriya and is expected to begin work on the much-awaited sequel once he wraps up that project.
