Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborthy starrer The Kashmir Files is setting box-office on fire. The film which is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits during Kashmir war in 1990 is winning people’s hearts. The film is getting big day by day and is becoming very popular throughout the country.
The Kashmir Files which released as a small budget film achieved a good word of mouth and went on to impress urban multiplex audience first. The film which released on 11 march even pushed back Radhe Shyam in Hindi Market’s revenue. The film’s opening day collections were at 3.35 crs, on saturday at 8.50 cr. The film on Sunday did very big and managed to collect around 15.10cr. What is even more surprising is it’s Monday collections which are on par with Sunday. On Monday the film collected around 15.05 crs. On Tuesday it is even more big with 17.50 crs. Total collections are at 59.50 crores. With these the film is expected to touch 200 crores at the end of it’s run.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met the makers of The Kashmir Files specially to greet them on their success and appreciated their attempt. He even said more films like this need to be made so that people can know the truth.
