Vetrimaaran is one of the busiest directors in the Tamil Film Industry. He has been working on multiple projects at the same time and his latest film that is becoming the talk of the town is the cop-drama Viduthalai.
Talking about Viduthalai, Vetrimaaran said this, “We started Viduthalai on a budget of 4 crores but it has now crossed more than 40+ crores. The film will show the day-to-day life of cops and their training periods.”
“The budget of the film has exceeded the limits but we still have more shooting left. We are going to shoot a massive train accident sequence that will break the bank. More than 8 crores are going to be spent on this sequence alone.” he added.
Viduthalai stars Vijay Sethupathi, and comedian Soori, who will be seen in a different avatar. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Kishore Raj in important roles. The film is being made in two parts.
Vetrimaaran will jump back to Suriya’s Vaadivaasal after he is done with Viduthalai. Much like Viduthalai, Vaadivaasal is also set in the village background like a lot of Vetrimaaran films.
