Chiyaan Vikram’s upcoming historical action Thangalan has made great buzz in the Kollywood markets. The film is one of the most ambitious Tamil projects and will see acclaimed director P.A. Ranjith collaborating with the versatile actor for the first time in his career.
The film will co-star Malavika Mohanan and every single poster and promotional material from the film has managed to evoke great curiosity from film lovers. While the film is one of the most anticipated projects in Kollywood, fans will now have to wait a bit longer to witness it on the big screens.
The postponement saga for the film has once again emerged due to unknown reasons. The film’s shooting was completed long back and was first planned for April release and later pushed to June due to elections. Now the team is reportedly be planning to release the film in July end.
Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, and others also play prominent characters in the movie. The film, produced by Neelam Productions and Studio Green, will have the music composed by GV Prakash Kumar
The glimpse teaser has created some good buzz around the film but these continued postponements may affect the film. With the postponement of Thangalan, Kollywood just like Tollywood will have a dry summer period without any big star films barring Dhanush’s Raayan.
