The online storm around Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna has now turned into a legal matter. The couple’s team has filed a complaint with the Cybercrime police against those spreading false propaganda about them.
What the Complaint Says
According to the complaint, some people have been twisting the couple’s words from their Koffee With Karan appearance and spreading lies about them online.
The team has asked the police to take legal action against those responsible for running this false campaign.
How It All Started
On Koffee With Karan Season 9, Vijay revealed that Rashmika had asked him to marry her “100 times,” and Rashmika added that she had kept asking him “for an entire year.”
The couple shared it as a light, fun moment. But soon after the episode, a section of social media turned it into a heated debate. Clips were shared out of context, and the couple faced a flood of negative comments, unsolicited advice and personal attacks.
Rashmika’s Strong Reply
Just hours earlier, Rashmika posted a long note on X responding to the trolling. She said the reaction felt “less like people having opinions and more like an angry mob looking for someone to vent at.”
She explained that the “100 times” moment was never about a number, but about Vijay wanting both of them to be sure before getting married. “I would do it a thousand times. 100 is nothing,” she wrote. “We chose US.”
From Words to Action
With the cybercrime complaint, the couple’s team has now made it clear that they won’t just respond with words. Those spreading distorted content and false claims could now face legal consequences.
It’s a strong message at a time when celebrities are increasingly facing targeted online campaigns built on clipped videos and false narratives.
The Couple
Vijay and Rashmika first worked together in Geetha Govindam and got married in Udaipur on February 26 this year. They were most recently seen together in Ranabaali, which has turned into a positive result at the box office
