The October 30 Exodus Continues: One More Film Runs From Aadarsha Kutumbam

The list of films moving away from October 30 just got longer. AH Movie, starring Rahul Vijay, has become the latest film to step out of the way of Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam.

AH Movie Moves to November 12

AH Movie was scheduled to release on October 30. With Aadarsha Kutumbam locking the same date, the team has now postponed the film.

New Release Date: November 12

The Postponement List Grows

Ever since Aadarsha Kutumbam confirmed October 30 on Dussehra, one small film after another has moved out of its way.

Emo Emo Idi

Sailesh Kolanu’s romantic film was the first to move. Sailesh said the film would “meet you on a new date, to be announced soon.”

Itlu Arjuna

The Aniesh and Anaswara Rajan film has moved out of October 30 for a November release. The exact new date hasn’t been officially announced yet. It’s the film’s second postponement after it was first planned for October 9.

Producer Dheeraj Mogilineni spoke openly about the pain of the date change, saying he had spent his entire publicity budget on an October 30 release and would now have to borrow money for another week of promotions.

Rahul Vijay’s film is the latest to move, now arriving on November 12.

Who’s Still Standing?

Not everyone has blinked. Two films are still sticking with October 30.

Cult

Vishwak Sen’s Cult, which he has written, directed and starred in, is going ahead as planned. Billed as India’s first slasher thriller, it’s aimed at a very different audience from Aadarsha Kutumbam.

Killer

The sci-fi action film, which grabbed attention with its ₹1 crore “guess the twist” challenge, is also releasing on October 30, with premieres on October 29.

The Bigger Debate

The string of postponements has reopened a big debate in Tollywood about how big films announce their dates. Aadarsha Kutumbam’s date was confirmed only ten days before release, leaving small films with very little time to adjust.

As Dheeraj Mogilineni put it, big films talk to each other, but there’s no communication between big films and small ones.
