Vijay Devarakonda’s team has come out with a clarification on the false news in the wake of rumors circulating that he has promoted betting apps. Vijay Devarakonda’s PR team informed that he had campaigned only for skill-based games and the companies were conducting it as per the law. Vijay Deverakonda has been restricted as a promoter only to areas where online skill-based games are allowed.
I Did Nothing Illegal, Says Vijay Devarakonda
Vijay Deverakonda’s team thoroughly examines whether he is working/promoting any ad or company that is legally valid or not. He will be the promoter of the ad only after it is revealed that the company or the product is legally permissible. Vijay Deverakonda has worked as the brand ambassador of a company called A23, which has such permission. The honorable Supreme Court has repeatedly said in the past that rummy is a skill-based game.
Vijay Devarakonda endorsed A23 and shot an advertisement for the same 2 years ago. Because of this ad, he has been involved in the list of Telugu stars who have promoted illegal betting apps.
However, as said above, the official response from the actor’s team is that Vijay Devarakonda did nothing illegal. Vijay Deverakonda’s contract with A23 ended last year. So, now he has nothing to do with the company.
