A big and controversial rumor about Dhanush has been doing the rounds that he demanded a big amount from director Vetrimaaran for NOC regarding the Vada Chennai Universe. Now, Vetrimaaran clears the air and thanks Dhanush for giving a free NOC.
In an official video sent to the media, director Vetrimaaran said that the film, STR49, is set in the world of Vada Chennai, but it is not the sequel to the film.

Because Dhanush holds the copyright for the film, “I said that I’m making a film with Silambarasan TR in the world of Vada Chennai. Dhanush didn’t even ask for a single rupee and said that he would give an NOC. But there is a lot of negative speculation going on with us.”
The Tamil cinema fans are happy as Vetrimaaran clears the air and thanks Dhanush for giving a free NOC. They eagerly await the actor and director to work on the sequel of Vada Chennai.
