Thug Life, the gangster action drama directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Kamal Haasan, released in theaters amidst huge expectations and bombed at the box office. Thug Life is set for its digital premiere on Netflix.
The movie will be made available for streaming on Netflix from 4th July. Its digital rights were bought by Netflix for a sensational price of 130 Cr for all languages.

But due to bad theatrical performance, there is said to be a 20 Cr cut from the said amount. Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life is set for its digital premiere now.
Before release, the OTT giant, Netflix, agreed to an 8-week theatrical window, but after the disastrous result, everything changed.
Besides Kamal, the film stars Simbu, Trisha, Nasser, Joju George, Abhirami, and Ashok Selvan in crucial roles. The film’s music was composed by Oscar Award winner AR Rahman.
