Amaran starring Siva Karthikeyan became a big blockbuster at the box office. The film is still having a sensational run even after the 2nd weekend so much so that it is affecting the new release, Kanguva starring Suriya. 40% of the screens in Tamil Nadu still have Amaran in them even with Kanguva’s release. It is also known that they have requested makers of Amaran to delay the OTT streaming decision.

Theatres owners are in talks with the makers to delay the OTT arrival for 8 weeks so that the film may enjoy a good run. The makers have already cancelled the 4 week agreed window to 5-6 weeks. But the theatre owners want this to go close to 8 week window. Amaran has already grossed more than 200 crores worldwide and is getting close to 250 crores.

Siva Karthikeyan has also become the only Tier 2 range Actor in Kollywood to have established this record. The film has all chances of going near the 300 crores mark by its full run. If this happens, then Siva Karthikeyan will surely go even further in the future.
