Karthi and Mithran’s blockbuster film Sardar will have a sequel. It was confirmed by the makers last year during the success meet of the film. A clip from the end of Sardar was shown by the makers, and they announced that the story will be continued in Sardar: Part 2. Now the latest update about the sequel has emerged on social media.

The sequel’s pre-production work has begun, as per report. Which means the second part of popular blockbuster is on. Reportedly, the film might go on floors this year. The official update from the makers is expected soon.

According to reports, the makers have hired a new music composer from Sardar 2. Based on the information gathered, Yuvan Shankar Raja might compose the music for the second part. It is to be noted Sardar had GV Prakash as a music composer. Yuvan has reportedly replaced GV in Sardar 2.

If the reports are accurate, Sardar 2 will mark the third collaboration between PS Mithran and Yuvan. They have previously collaborated on films like Irumbu Thirai starring Vishal and Siva Karthikeyan’s Hero. In the sequel, the actor will once again be seen in both of his characters from the first part, Sardar aka Chandra Bose and Vijay Prakash. The details about the other cast and crew have not been announced yet.

The story of Sardar revolves around Chandra Bose, an ex-RAW agent, and his son Vijay Prakash, a police officer who is both publicity-hungry and dutiful. The movie featured Chunky Panday, a popular Bollywood actor, as the main antagonist. Raashii Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan were the female leads in the PS Mithran film, which had senior actress Laila in a crucial role.
