Prabhas – Maruthi’s The Raja Saab shoot started a long back but is still on sets, due to several technical reasons. Both director and the producers do not want to compromise on quality and are against coming up with small production range film with Prabhas.
The makers are spending huge amount on production and VFX whereas Maruthi is also keen on delivering the best in terms of look and feel like other Prabhas’ pan India films. This is the main reason for the film getting delayed as the team is not compromising on quality of the film.
Additionally, Maruthi and team have decided to announce the release date only after being completely satisfied with all the output. Now in the 2nd half of the year biggies like War 2 , Vishwambhara , OG, Akhanda 2 are fixed. Apart from this, many big films like Mirai, Coolie, Kantara 2 are also lined up. With this, finding a good date is very tough for the film.
With this there is a buzz that The Raja Saab also looking Sankranthi 2026 as option. Since it is a horror entertainer, Sankranthi season will definitely work big. Even Dragon is being planned to be moving to summer. With just Chiranjeevi film set for Sankranthi 2026, it definitely is a practical option.
