Prabhas and Maruthi are all set to enthrall the fans with The Raja Saab, which is the biggest film for Sankranthi 2026 in Telugu. The horror comedy film has both advantages and disadvantages because of its release date.
The advantage is that, since the film is announced for 9th January, its first weekend will most likely be a solo release till Sankranthi with only minimal competition from Jana Nayagan. This means it will get a huge number of theaters, as other films are slated for release from 12th January onwards.
But the disadvantage is that it’s a pre-festival weekend, and pulling audiences during this period is very tough. Also, when the festival arrives, “The Raja Saab” becomes the older film, as there are continuous new releases from 12th to 14th January, including the crazy film Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.
If WOM is positive, then definitely the release date is a big advantage for The Raja Saab, and it will certainly become the biggest film in collections, but if it gets mixed or negative reviews, then the risk for the film is very high.
