Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara’s Gold, directed by Alphonse Puthren, has made it to the theaters on December 1 i.e. today Worldwide. However, it looks like the film has disappointed the audience.
The director of the film Alphonse Puthren has excellent fame in Malayalam audience as his previous film Premam was all time blockbuster and after Premam this was his next film, The film has been continuously delayed and releases today only tow disappoint the audience.
The audience felt that it’s nowhere near to Premam and even if we watch without any expectations the movie is very slow and Some people are saying it’s not worth to watch it in the theaters while some are saying it is a one-time watch film though it’s very slow. Usually, Malayalam films are made with slow narration irrespective of the genre the movie is.
It has been seven years since director Alphonse Puthren even had a release (barring a short film in Aviyal). Seven years after Premam, his fans were very excited to witness Gold in the theaters, but sadly, they’ve been unable to maintain the excitement because of the film’s content.
Earlier today, the 8 am shows of Gold (in Malayalam and Tamil) were cancelled in Chennai. Theaters in Chennai were informed that they have received information from the Gold team that the film could be released after 10 am in the city.
