Vidudala 2 fails to impress the Telugu OTT Viewers. Director Vetrimaaran has certainly a very good brand in Telugu audiences, but those audiences are not coming to the theatres to watch his film and are sticking to watching them on OTT only. The same thing happened for his latest release Vidudala 2(Viduthalai 2) as the film failed to bring minimum audiences to the theaters.
The movie started streaming on Prime Video from a few days and the Telugu people who have watched the film on the popular platform did not like the film much compared to the previous films of Vetrimaaran, most of the people opined that the film does not have any proper Vetrimaaran mark scene, and they felt it was a bit dragging and lengthy too. Even in Tamil also, the film failed to impress audiences and ended up as below average grosser at the box office and received a mixed response on OTT release as well. Meanwhile, Vetrimaaran shifts his focus to VaadiVaasal, starring Suriya and this might work with Telugu audiences if it comes with good buzz as Suriya, is the lead.
