Ticket price hikes in Telangana have become a hot topic in recent days. Amid this discussion, Telangana Cinematography Minister Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy made a surprising statement, saying that he has no connection with the increase in ticket price hikes.

Earlier, the minister had stated that there would be no hike in ticket rates. However, recent Telugu films such as Prabhas’s The Raja Saab and Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad were released with increased ticket prices.

Responding to this issue, Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy said that he is completely away from the affairs of the film industry and has nothing to do with ticket price hikes.

He also shared that the tragic death of a woman in a stampede during the release of Pushpa 2 deeply disturbed him. The incident made him seriously question whether it was a mistake to grant special permissions for that film.

After the tragedy, the minister said he took a firm decision and clearly told film industry leaders not to approach him anymore for ticket price increases. He revealed that since then, no one from the industry has met him, and he has no role in the current ticket price hikes.

Komati Reddy further stated that he stopped involving himself in film industry matters a long time ago and that the present ticket rate issue is not within his responsibility.
