Producer SKN has reacted strongly to actor Shivaji’s recent comments about heroines’ clothing. During his speech at the success meet of the film Patang, SKN indirectly took a sarcastic dig at Shivaji. But this in turn led to netizens targeting SKN as well.
In his speech, SKN said, “Girls and heroines should wear whatever clothes they feel comfortable in. Wear outfits that give you confidence. Do not listen to people who keep commenting on what you should or should not wear. There is no rule that you look good only in certain clothes and bad in others. What truly matters is a good heart and good intentions. Clothes are not important; talent is what defines you.” These remarks, which were considered a counter to Shivaji’s statements, have gone viral on social media.
At the same time, a section of netizens felt that SKN’s comments were unnecessary. They argued that indirectly referring to Shivaji as “Battala Satthi”was not appropriate. Many pointed out that Shivaji had already apologised for his earlier remarks, and bringing up the issue again, whether for publicity or any other reason, was not the right approach.
Interestingly, even those who criticized Shivaji’s original comments also expressed displeasure with SKN. Some felt that SKN spoke without having a clear or balanced opinion on the matter and commented only because the topic was currently trending. This has led to mixed reactions online, with both sides facing criticism from the public.
