Rashi Khanna was shooting for a key schedule for her upcoming film Thank You when the shoot had to end abruptly and wrap up. The actress said that shooting in Milan while entire India struggled with the pandemic upset her.
She was shooting along with co-star Naga Chaitanya in this Vikram Kumar rom-com amidst tight safety measures. However, the rising number of cases across the globe and impending travel restrictions forced the team to come back.
“While I was there, the second wave in India intensified and I was constantly reading about what was happening in India. It was upsetting. It felt bad that our country was suffering and we were away. It’s a helpless situation. We shot for what we had gone for, but it was upsetting humanly. We were constantly thinking about what was happening back home,” Raashi added.
“Honestly, there is always pressure to finish on time, but I had a very good team that had taken everything under consideration and they didn’t put any pressure. There were certain locations that were cancelled because we were Indians and there was this whole thing about the pandemic growing in India that went against us,” explained Rashi on the obstacles the team faced during the shoot.
Rashi, who was last seen in ‘World Famous Lover’ opposite Vijay Devarakonda has been missing from action for almost more than a year and would be looking to register a hit to her credit with Thank You.
This will be the third film for the actress with Naga Chaitanya. She first acted in a small role in ‘Manam’. Post this, Rashi and Naga Chaitanya paired for the second time in Venky Mama.
