Amidst high expectations, this series premiered on Netlfix in the first week of May this year to mixed-to-negative reviews from critics who criticised the glorification of Mughals. Despite this, it attracted good viewership on the streaming platform solely because of the ‘Bhansali’ brand.
But surprising enough, a sequel to this TV series has been officially announced by the streaming platform lately. This move received backlash from netizens, the media, and, of course, fans of the actors. It must be seen how the second season of Heeramandi will fare on Netflix.
