Sankranthi 2026 will see the release of two big films along with several medium-budget movies. Surprisingly, the USA advance bookings for the Sankranthi biggies, The Raja Saab and Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, are quite low.
The advance bookings for The Raja Saab opened a few days ago, but the collections have still not crossed $200K. The premiere advance stands at around $180K, which is undoubtedly a weak opening for a Prabhas film in the post-Baahubali era. The film now needs a strong jump in bookings.
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu comes from a blockbuster combination featuring Anil Ravipudi, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, and Nayanthara. Even with such a powerful lineup, the advance bookings have not met expectations and are currently around the $40K mark.
Overall, both Sankranthi biggies have started their USA advance bookings on an underwhelming note and will need a major push in the coming days to post strong numbers.
